Plants are truly amazing –they can grow in the harshest of climates, they create their own food, and the in turn, are the food source for our world. And while many of us garden, we only have the privilege of seeing plants grow and develop from the soil on up.

In today’s class, children will be construction a large “root view” farm to add to our greenhouse classroom. Once constructed, children will fill the root view with soil and seeds, allowing them to watch the growth and progress of plants – below the surface of the soil. In addition, students will each take home their own mini-root view, allowing them to see the growth and development of a root system in their own home.
