Everyone has heard the age old fable of The Tortoise and The Hare, and we all know the moral and lesson this story provides. But has anyone ever tested this lesson in real life?

Children will kick off the class with some engineering experimentation – constructing a maze and obstacle course that is sure to trick the smartest of animals. Once constructed, Dundee Garden’s very own Russian Tortoise, as well as our Dwarf Rabbit, will be set to the task of exploring and completing the maze. Children will observe as the animals navigate the maze and overcome the feats of childhood engineering.  Who will complete the maze in the fastest time? Will the rabbit be distracted by the marvels of the maze?  Will the tortoise be unable to hurdle the obstacles? Join us to see this amazing race in action, as well as learn about the animals that will be participating.
